There were so many lessons from my time in the Navy, and so many skills I picked up. Perhaps the most important was how the Nuclear Navy teaches the importance of understanding how and why things work...never touch a knob if you don't know what it will do!
Another benefit of my time in the Navy was all the experiences, stories, and life-long friendships. I can say I have been to the North Pole (or at least under it...), Norway, France, Italy, Scotland, England, Gibraltar, the Bahamas, and all around and in the Mediterranean Sea.
